“The overwhelm…is not an epidemic of personal failures, of whiny moms unable to juggle work and home efficiently. It’s a massive structural failure in society, and it’s holding everybody back.”- Brigid Schulte, Overwhelmed
Our goal doesn’t need to be merely to eliminate The Overwhelm. It’s to push through that on a path to abundance.
But first, let’s look at ovewhelm.
This is a systemic issue, seen much more acutely in the U.S. than in other countries with more support for women both in the home and at work.
If you are overwhelmed, it is not because you are doing motherhood wrong. It’s because our society has bullsh*t expectations of mothers, with minimal supports.
It’s not your fault.
But you can choose how to move forward despite it.
